Nebivolol - Benefits, dosage and side effects

Nebivolol is a drug to treat high blood pressure (hypertension).. Controlled blood pressure can reduce the risk of stroke, heart attack, or kidney problems. This medication can be used alone or in combination with other medications.

Nebivolol belongs to the class of beta blockers (beta blockers). This drug works by blocking beta receptors in the blood vessels and heart muscle, thereby reducing tension in the heart and blood vessels, slowing the heart rate, and lowering blood pressure.

In addition to treating hypertension, nebivolol can also be used to treat heart failure. This medicine is only used with a doctor's prescription.
